(Clive, IA) -- A central Iowa woman is $100,000 richer after buying a scratch ticket.

51-year-old Kristi Doss of Carlisle bought a "Power 10X" scratch ticket at Casey's, 206 S. First Street in Grimes.

"I was on my way to work with my boss," Doss, a house cleaner, told Iowa Lottery officials. "We stopped at Casey's. She had to get some gas, so I went in to pay for it and just bought the ticket while I was in there."

Doss said she thought the winning ticket was a fake, before taking it to the Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive Thursday.

"It's just overwhelming," said Doss. "You just start going through and thinking about what you're going to do with the money. I have three daughters so I knew right away I was going to give some to them."

Doss hasn't made any plans yet for her winnings, but she's thinking about taking a trip.
