(Davenport, IA) -- Davenport is being name a ‘Certified Gigabit City” after a high-speed fiber optic network from Metronet became accessible to most homes and businesses in the city.
Metronet began construction in Davenport in 2019 and has installed over 980 million miles of fiber optic cable through it since.
The title of ‘Certified Gigabit City” was earned after the majority of people in the city had access to internet speeds of at least one gigabit.
