Iowa DNR Says Fish Are More Active, Hungry As Temperatures Drop

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says fall is a great time for fishing.

As water temperatures drop, fish become more active and hungry, which creates ideal conditions for fishers.

The D-N-R says fish begin moving into overwintering areas in October and settle by November.

They say fishers looking to test their luck this season should try using a jig and a minnow.
