(Iowa City, IA) -- One person is hurt after a house fire in Iowa City.
The Iowa City Fire Department says they received reports of the fire a little before 9am Sunday in the 1000 block of Woodlawn Avenue. One person was in the home at the time as was able to get out, but the resident was taken to an area hospital. It took about an hour and a half to put the fire out, and the house was heavily damaged.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and remains under investigation.
