(Cedar Falls, IA) -- A Cedar Falls man is dead from injuries sustained after an apartment fire earlier this week.
Black Hawk County crews responded to reports of the fire around 3pm on October 21st and found 67 year-old Douglas Fairbank unresponsive at the scene. First responders performed life-saving measures and took Fairbank to an area hospital in critical condition. He later died of his injuries. The cause of the apartment fire is under investigation.
