(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- One person is recovering after being hurt during a house fire in Cedar Rapids Monday morning.

The Cedar Rapids Fire Department says crews responded to reports of the fire a little before 11:30 in the 5000 block of Broadlawn Drive Southeast. CRFD says two men were able to get out on their own, but crews had to rescue a woman from inside the house. She was later taken to an area hospital in critical condition. Two cats were killed in the fire, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
