(Washington, D.C.) -- Iowa Medicaid is being awarded a national award for workforce modernization.
The National Association of Medicaid Directors is giving the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services the 2022 Spotlight of Innovation award.
The department is being recognized for creating new ways to support their staff during hiring shortages.
Iowa started the 2021 fiscal year with 45 staff members, managing more than 200-thousand Medicaid members.
