(Illinois) -- Amtrak is suspending service on the route that includes Chicago, Galesburg, and Quincy until January.
Amtrak says the route will be temporarily suspended due to staffing shortages. The route's three Quad Cities area stops include Galesburg, Kewanee, and Princeton. Amtrak says regularly scheduled service along the route will begin on January 17th of next year, after more engineers are trained and able to fill current vacancies.
