(Iowa) -- State Auditor Rob Sand will serve another term in office.
Republican challenger Todd Halbur conceded the race, making the announcement on social media, saying his campaign lacks the resources and manpower to conduct a statewide recount of the close election. Halbur says the statewide GOP organization has failed to support the recount effort. Sand's victory in the midterm election makes him the only Democrat holding statewide office in Iowa.
