(Mason City, IA) -- There's an event tonight in Mason City, to remember four children who died in a Mason City house fire last week. The North Iowa Youth Center will host a candlelight vigil at 6 p.m. for John Mcluer, 12, Odin Mcluer, 10, Drake Mcluer, 6, and Phenix Mcluer, 3.

North Iowa Youth Center Director Regan Banks says the children spent a lot of time there and were well-known. He says in addition to prayers and songs at the event tonight to honor the boys, they'll launch four glowing lanterns with their names on the side.

The children's father, 55-year-old John Mcluer, and 11-year-old sister Raven Mcluer escaped and were treated for burns at a hospital. Investigators blame the fire on a space heater plugged into a power strip.
