IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Iowa quarterback Alex Padilla is leaving the Hawkeyes football program.
He's entering the NCAA's transfer portal as graduate transfer.
Padilla backed-up starting Hawkeyes quarterback Spencer Petras in two games this season, including last Friday's regular season ending loss to Nebraska
Padilla started four games in the 2021 football season, again backing-up an injured Petras.
There's no indication to what school Padilla is transferring.
The Iowa football team ends the 2022 regular season at seven-and-five. They're awaiting a bowl game invitation this weekend.
