Husker Wide Receiver Trey Palmer gets All-Big Ten second team honors

(Lincoln, NE) -- Nebraska wide receiver Trey Palmer earns Big Ten offensive honors.

On Wednesday, the Big Ten Conference announced that the junior receiver from Kentwood, Louisiana was voted to the All-Big Ten Second-Team by the media and to the All-Big Ten Third-Team by the coaches. In his one season with Nebraska, Palmer managed to set a number of Husker records: Receiving Yards in a Season (1,043 in 2022) and Receiving Yards in a Game (237 at Purdue, Oct. 15, 2022). He played in every game this season with 11 starts and caught 71 passes for 1,043 yards and nine touchdowns. Palmer's 71 receptions were the most by a wide receiver in program history and ranked second overall in NU history. Palmer's nine touchdown receptions also ranked fifth in school history, and his three 100-yard receiving games ranked 10th.

At the end of the regular season, Palmer ranked 14th nationally in receiving yards, 14th in receiving touchdowns, 20th in receiving yards per game (86.9) and 26th in receptions per game (5.9). Palmer also led the nation with three catches of 70 yards or longer and ranked second with four catches of 60 yards or longer.

Running back Anthony Grant, who netted 915 yards and six touchdowns this season, earned an All-Big Ten honorable mention.
