(Johnston, IA) -- A controlled burn is scheduled for this week in Johnston, starting Monday, December 5th.
The city says the burn is scheduled around the banks of Terra Lake, Adventure Ridge Park, and Greenwood Hills pond, weather permitting. The city says the controlled burn is seasonal and used as a conservation tool and a way to suppress invasive species.
