(Iowa) -- The Wounded Warrior Project names Iowa U.S. Senator Joni Ernst as its Legislator of the Year.
The WWP says it chose Ernst for the award due to her efforts to lead bipartisan action in congress to bring a Global War and Terrorism Memorial to the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Ernst is a veteran who deployed to the Middle East during the Global War on Terror.
