(Lawler, IA) -- One person is dead after an accident in Chickasaw County.
The Iowa State Patrol says 21 year-old Joseph Gathje, an equipment operator from Lanesboro, Minnesota, was killed Monday while attempting to load a tracked vehicle onto a semi near Lawler, Iowa. Investigators say the vehicle rolled off the trailer, pinning Gathje. He later died of his injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
