Omaha City Council Makes Holiday Humanitarian Request

At their last regular weekly meeting before the Christmas-New Year's Holidays, the Omaha City Council asks area residents to remember and help hundreds of people who are in need after their apartment complex was shut down Monday for code violations.

At the meeting, Omaha City Councilmember Aimee Melton recognized "Heartland Family Services" for helping the residents who were forced out of the Legacy Crossing Apartments Monday.

Those looking to donate to help the displaced residents can visit Omaha-Foundation-dot-org.
