(Cedar Falls, Iowa) -- The Cedar Falls Police Department says it will start issuing parking tickets for vehicles in violation of the city's 48 hour parking ordinance Thursday.
CFPD says any vehicles not moved within 24 hours after receiving a ticket will be towed at the owner's expense. The ordinance is in effect after the recent winter storm brought significant snowfall to the area. Thursday is also the first day residents will get notifications if they haven't cleared their sidewalks since the winter storm.
