(Omaha, NE) -- The Nebraska Department of Transportation will hold a public information open house meeting regarding proposed improvements to U.S. Highway 6 (West Dodge) and 192nd Street.
The meeting will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Master, 1200 N 181st Ct, Elkhorn, NE 68022, on Thursday, January 5th, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A brief presentation will be given at 5:00 PM with an open house to follow.
The NDOT says the proposed project, US-6/192nd St Interchange would modernize the existing interchange by re-configuring it to a Diverging Diamond Interchange. The project portion on 192nd Street would begin approximately 1,000 feet south of the US-6 overpass and extend to North HWS Cleveland Boulevard, including the ramps to US-6.
Construction of the proposed project could begin as early as spring 2024 and be completed by winter 2024.
Details regarding the project will be provided at the public meeting and personnel from NDOT will be available to answer questions, receive comments, and discuss any aspect of the proposed project. For those unable to attend, additional information on the project, as well as all meeting materials, will be available on the NDOT website after the meeting. Feedback and comments on the project can be submitted on the NDOT website now through January 22, 2023.
