(Rock Island, IL) -- Rock Island Police say one person is hospitalized after an attempted robbery Monday night.
Police say they received a call from a shooting victim a little before 8pm. Officers located the victim in the 100 block of 12th Avenue. The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg and was in serious condition when officers arrived. Police say the man claimed to have been the victim of an attempted robbery. The victim was taken to an area hospital.
