UPS truck hits house in Lancaster County, driver cited for open container

(Lancaster County, NE) -- A UPS driver causes nearly $60,000 in damage after hitting a car, utility pole and house in Lancaster County.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office says around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon, deputies were called to a crash scene in Holland, Nebraska, about 20 miles south of Lincoln. LSO says their investigation determined a UPS truck was southbound on S. 96th, south of Panama Road, when it lost control. Investigators say the truck hit a parked vehicle, a utility pole and eventually hit a house. The sheriff's office says the parked vehicle sustained $15,000 damage, there was $3500 damage to the utility pole and $30,000 worth of damage was done to the house. The UPS truck sustained $10,000 damage.

The 37 year old driver of the UPS truck, Susan Finke, was cited for Careless Driving and having an Open Container of Alcohol in the Vehicle. LSO says she was processed for DWI but tested under the legal limit.
