(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa officially has its next Attorney General.
Brenna Bird was sworn-in as the state's A-G yesterday at the Iowa State Capitol.
Since being sworn in, Bird has signed onto several lawsuits, involving vaccine mandates, using American Rescue Plan Act funds for tax cuts, President Biden's student loan debt forgiveness plan, and more.
The State of Iowa is already a part of those lawsuits, but was not being represented by former Democrat Attorney General Tom Miller.
Bird is the first Republican to hold the office since 1979.
