OPS Board Officially Accepts Superintendent's Resignation

The Omaha Public School District board officially accepts the resignation of Superintendent Cheryl Logan, who before the Holidays announced she would be leaving the Omaha district at the end of this school year to move back East and spend more time with her family.

The vote was during a board of education meeting.

She will be on the job in Omaha until June, aiding in transition issues.

The board also voted to start looking for a new Superintendent starting with the hiring of a executive search firm.
