(Rock Island, IL) -- 2022 CNN Hero of the Year and Augustana College Alumni Nelly Cheboi is coming back to her alma mater to speak at the spring commencement ceremony.
Cheboi gave a mini-lecture about her story at the school yesterday.
Cheboi is the cofounder of TechLit Africa, a nonprofit that distributes recycled computers to students in rural Kenya, where she grew up.
She was recognized as a CNN hero of the Year in December. She's also a software engineer at a pet healthcare company called Fuzzy, and made Forbe's '30 under 30' list as a social impact leader.
