(Des Moines, IA) -- A dog abandoned by a passenger at the Des Moines Airport last month, has a new home. The Animal Rescue League says a family who saw the dog at the airport decided to adopt the dog, which is named "Allie."
Des Moines Airport employees told the ARL a dog that was unable to board a cross-country flight home because its owner did not have a kennel. The owner boarded their flight. The 1-year-old dog was later found tied up outside the airport.
No charges have been filed in the case against the previous owner of the dog.
