(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The fatal stabbing of a Cedar Rapids woman is captured on video.

Footage obtained by our news partner Iowa's News Now shows Devonna Walker arguing with two neighbors when the man shouts a racial slur and appears to stab her after she pushes the woman. Both were detained by police, but have been released without charges.

People shown on video in the front yard appear to have thought Devonna Walker was faking after she was stabbed and fell to the ground and a dog jumped on her as she lay there.

The video from Iowa's News Now shows Walker on the ground for eight minutes before police officers arrived. Police were there for two minutes before the officers started CPR.

CRPD issued a statement saying they need time to investigate if and what charges are needed and it’s not uncommon for an investigation to take days, weeks, or even months.

They’re also asking anyone with information about the stabbing to contact the CRPD.
