(Aurora, NE) -- Two Arizona men are behind bars in Nebraska after tens of thousands of suspected fentanyl pills are found in their vehicle.

The Nebraska State Patrol says around 8:30 Thursday morning, an NSP trooper spotted an eastbound Toyota Tacoma improperly pass a semi on I-80 near Aurora, east of Grand Island. The state patrol says after pulling the vehicle over, the trooper became suspicious of criminal activity. Investigators say during a search of the vehicle, several bags of suspected fentanyl pills were found inside the tailgate of the pickup. The NSP says the total number of pills was roughly 50,000, which weighed more than 11 pounds. Troopers also found small amounts of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine.

The driver, 27 year old Jesus Quinones and passenger, 44 year old Daniel Alvillar, both of Phoenix, Arizona, were arrested for possession of controlled substances and possession with intent to deliver.
