(Johnston, IA) -- The City of Johnston Parks Department's winter tree trimming project is underway.
The Parks Department says it will provide notice to property owners as to when trees will be trimmed. The service is at no cost to the adjoining property owner. City code requires trees in the right-of-way to be trimmed to 8 feet above sidewalks and trails. Trees must also be trimmed to 14 feet above a roadway.
