(Iowa City, IA) -- Iowa City Police say one person is in custody after reports of multiple shots fired at the Pedestrian Mall.
Police say they received reports of an armed suspect firing multiple shots at the Ped Mall around 4pm on Saturday, January 14th at the intersection of East College and South Clinton Streets. Investigators say witness information led to the arrest of the suspected shooter as well as evidence recovered at the scene. No injuries have been reported. The suspect has been identified as 29 year-old Dante Yance.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
