(Omaha, NE) -- A winter storm watch goes into effect Wednesday morning for Omaha and Council Bluffs. Forecasters say chances are increasing for a mid-week snow storm that could dump four to seven inches of snow in the Omaha metro. The National Weather Service says the heaviest snow is expected to hit the area Wednesday afternoon and evening. Rain could also mix in in far southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Higher snowfall amounts are expected in central Nebraska.
