(Omaha, NE) -- A winter storm is expected in the Omaha area today into Thursday.
Snow mixed with freezing rain will start early this afternoon in the Omaha area, changing to all snow after 3 p.m. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
More snow tonight, heavy at times, another 2-4 inches of snow is possible.
Snow and wintry weather will cause travel to become hazardous and cause delays during this evening's commute.
Heavy snowfall is forecast for northeastern Nebraska and western Iowa, with snow totals of 8 to 15 inches expected.
Expect delays and hazardous travel.
There will be a sharp cutoff in snow totals along or south of Interstate 80 due to ice mixing in.
