(Moline, IL) -- Several Moline residents are displaced after a fire at and apartment building.
The Moline Fire Department says reports of the fire came in a little before 6pm Wednesday evening at the Homewood Apartments in the 5600 block of 34th Avenue. The building was evacuated, and smoke was reported covering the second and third floors of the building. After the evacuation, firefighters went into the apartment where the fire started, and extinguished the flames. Two people inside were injured. 11 people were displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and the Moline Fire Department continues to investigate the incident.
