(Ankeny, IA) -- Des Moines Area Community College is looking for artists, to design bottle labels, for both root beer and beer. DMACC has held this contest for the past few years, attracting global interest. Prizes range from 100-to-500 dollars. The contest is held in conjunction with DMACC's annual ciLive conference, which is at DMACC's West Des Moines Campus on March 9th.
The winning design will be featured on custom ciLive bottled beverages produced by Court Avenue Brewing in Des Moines.
Speakers at ciLive! 14 will include:
Actor-director John Ratzenberger, who is best known for playing Cliff on the TV sitcom “Cheers” and for voicing many PIXAR characters;
Molly Bloom, the best-selling author of “Molly’s Game,” a memoir that chronicles her journey from a college student and Los Angeles waitress to founder and operator of the largest and most notorious private poker game in the world
Mitch Matthews, the host of the top-ranked “DREAM THINK DO” podcast
Alex Weber, the only person to both host and compete on NBC’s Emmy-nominated series “American Ninja Warrior”;
Dr. Shawna Pandya, a physician, aquanaut, scientist-astronaut, martial artist and advanced underwater diver
Kenny & Friends, featuring Grammy Award-winning drummer Kenny Aronoff, who was named one of the “100 Greatest Drummers of All Time” by Rolling Stone magazine, with bass guitarist James LoMenzo and guitarist Brent Woods, who have both performed with a long list of popular musicians ( click to watch a video announcing this year’s speakers ).
