(Dubuque, IA) -- The Dubuque Fire Department says an investigation into the cause of a multi-family home Tuesday is ongoing.
Firefighters responded to reports of the fire a little before 4pm Tuesday and evacuated five people from the first and second floors of the building. Crews were able to extinguish the fire and inspect the building. Investigators say no working smoke detectors were found anywhere in the structure. No one was hurt in the fire, and fire investigators believe the cause of the fire was accidental.
