Tense Moments In Central Nebraska Involving Children

The investigation continues this morning after three children are recovered following a kidnapping and car theft.

Grand Island Police say a vehicle was stolen Sunday with children ages five, one, and seven months inside.

Law enforcement tracked the stolen vehicle to Buffalo County where they eventually took 18-year-old Tate Wolfe and a 17-year-old into custody.

The five-year-old and one-year-old were later found in a vehicle reported stolen out of Kearney, and the infant was later found outside a farmhouse in Hall County.

Investigators say the children were treated for hypothermia and frostbite.

The teens face kidnapping, child abuse, and car theft charges.
