Rock Island Police Looking To Hire Community Resource Officers

(Rock Island, IL) -- The Rock Island Police Department is looking to hire more community service officers as the department sees shortages.

Rock Island Police Chief Richard Landi says community service officers would handle things like going through and tagging cars, animal control, and other city ordinance violations.

There are currently two community service officers with two more spots the department is looking to fill.

Rock Island Police hopes expanding the position will help alleviate some of the problems the department is facing.
