(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- 6 family members and their dog are safe after a Cedar Rapids house fire that was started by an electric blanket.
The three adults and three children were able to get out of the home by themselves safely, but when firefighters got to the scene, the family said the dog was still inside.
Crews rescued the dog, put out the fire, and say the flames started by a heating blanket that was left plugged
