(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division is warning drivers in the Des Moines about a truck carrying a large oversize load moving across the area today, February 8th.
The Iowa DOT says an oversize load measuring 180 feet long, 20 feet wide, and 18 feet tall weighing 506,000lbs will make its way across parts of the Des Moines metro. The DOT says to be on the lookout as it makes its way south on Highway 169 from Highway 141, east on Highway 44 through Grimes, and south on 86th Street in Johnston, finally ending at ADM.
