(Linn County, IA) -- The Linn County Sherriff's Office says an Anamosa man taken into custody after a fatal crash Tuesday is being charged with homicide by vehicle and operating while intoxicated.
The Sheriff's Office says 31 year-old Zachary Twatchmann lost control of his vehicle near Springville around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, veered into oncoming traffic, and hit another vehicle heading the opposite direction. The driver of that vehicle was killed in the crash and is being identified as 46 year-old Dylan Vascik. A female passenger in Twatchmann's vehicle was taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, and online court documents for Twatchmann have yet to be filed.
