Greater Des Moines Partnership Sharing Valentine's Messages

(Des Moines, IA) -- Valentine's Day messages from a local artist will pop up in the Des Moines skywalk system this week. The Greater Des Moines Partnership's program "DSM Loves You." Positive affirming notes and flowers will be available for people to take and enjoy at several locations::

  • Ninth Street and Grand Avenue, inside of the 801 Grand building
  • Seventh Street and Locust Street, inside of The Partnership building

The box at 801 Grand will have a romantic staging, with many notes and flowers. The box at Seventh and Locust Street will feature a graffiti backdrop done by local artist Jake Gracey.

“We are excited to spread a message of love and positivity to Downtown DSM workers, residents and visitors during Valentine’s Day week with this surprise-and-delight activation,” said Jerrica Marshall, Downtown Placemaking Manager at The Partnership. “We encourage all who are Downtown to check out this art and support local businesses as they explore Downtown and celebrate the holiday.”

Flowers will be available to take throughout the week, however they are first come, first serve. Flowers will not be restocked after Tuesday, Feb. 14.
