Inmate Flees Southwest Nebraska Facility

Nebraska Correctional Services says an inmate escaped from the Work Ethic Camp in McCook.

They say 39-year old Ronald Grant was with a staff member and two other incarcerated individuals in the north parking lot when he ran away Sunday evening.

Grant started his sentence in November, 2005: 29 to 44 years for charges out of Lancaster County that include manslaughter, assault by a confined person, and felon in possession of a deadly weapon.

He has a parole hearing scheduled for this July and a tentative release date of November, 2029.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement or the Nebraska State Patrol.
