The Omaha office of the National Weather Service says rain will continue across the area Tuesday, with most areas receiving 0.25" to 0.75" of rainfall.
Isolated rainfall of 1" to 2" are possible with thunderstorms, mainly across southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa.
The Omaha forecasters say another system is expected to bring winter weather to the area Wednesday and Thursday.
The highest snowfall amounts and biggest travel impacts will likely be south of Interstate 80.
