(Williamsburg, IA) -- The Williamsburg Fire Department says a semi-trailer was destroyed by a fire early Friday morning.

Williamsburg FD says they received reports of the fire along I-80 a little before 3:30am Friday. It took about ten minutes for firefighters to put the fire out. Investigators say the cause of the fire was the trailer brakes.

The semi was determined to be a total loss, but Williamsburg FD says some items inside are able to be salvaged.
