GOP Presidential Candidates Starting To Visit Iowa

(Undated) -- Republican candidates for the 2024 presidential election are starting to spend more time in Iowa. Former Vice President Mike Pence was in the state last week. Today, former US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley is campaigning in Iowa. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited Iowa several times last year. He says he'll make a decision about running for the White House within a few months. U-S Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, who is also considering running for the GOP nomination, will make an appearance at Drake University in Des Moines Wednesday. He'll also attend the Polk County GOP's Lincoln Dinner.

Former President Donald Trump is announcing his 2024 campaign staff in Iowa.

Marshall Moreau, State Director. Moreau managed the campaign of Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird, who defeated Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller.

Iowa House Representative Bobby Kaufmann, Senior Advisor.

Eric Branstad, Senior Advisor. Branstad led President Trump’s 2016 and 2020 campaigns in Iowa and is the son of former Governor and U.S. Ambassador Terry Branstad.

Alex Latcham, Early States Director. Latcham will oversee the campaign’s political operations in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada.

Trump was last in Iowa before the November midterm election, a couple of weeks before he announced he would run for president again.
