(Undated) -- Temporary closures are taking place on Interstate-80 east of Iowa City this week. The Iowa Department of Transportation says eastbound I-80 will close between West Branch (exit 254) and County Road F-44/Herbert Hoover Highway (exit 249) Wednesday from midnight to 5:00 a.m. Then the westbound lanes will be closed in the same area from midnight to 5:00 a.m. Thursday. The construction schedule could be effected by the weather. The closures are taking place so beams can be placed for the Wapsi Avenue Bridge of the interstate.
