Iowa Housing Market Slows Down in January

(Iowa) -- The Iowa housing market is cooling off to start the year.

The Iowa Association of Realtors says while January saw an increase in listings, the market saw a month-over-month decrease in sales of about 32%. About 1,600 homes sold in January, and the median sale price for a single family home was $190,500 dollars. The average time a home spent on the market in January was 48 days, an increase of 10 days from the previous month.
