(Iowa) -- The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services says the it will no longer be required to report positive cases of COVID-19 to the state Public Health Division.

Iowa HHS says due to the the widespread availability of at-home tests that are not required to be reported, state-reporting of positive cases no longer accurately reflects the spread of COVID-19 in Iowa. Starting April 1st, HHS will publish a weekly report on COVID-19 as it does with other respiratory viruses. Free COVID-19 testing will continue to be offered through TestIowa at Home through the end of the year.

You can find the state's weekly report on respiratory viruses on the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services website.
