(Marion, IA) -- A Marion man is convicted a second time for killing his girlfriend in 2017.
Gregory Davis' first conviction for the murder of Carrie Davis happened in 2018. In 2020, his conviction was overturned after a ruling that said he didn't get a fair trial. Investigators say Carrie Davis was stabbed multiple times, and her body was later found rolled up in carpet inside a Marion trailer.
While Davis' first conviction was of first-degree murder, he was convicted of second-degree murder in his second trial. He will face sentencing on April 28th.
