(Davenport, IA) -- A text message offering ten-dollar hoodies from the Davenport Police Department is a scam, according to police.
They say people who receive these texts should not click any links and delete the message right away.
The scam is almost identical to the one that happened last year. The difference is last year's was offering t-shirts.
Police are reminding people to be cautious of messages from unknown senders as they could be scammers trying to steal personal information.
