(Davenport, IA) -- Home prices in the Quad Cities are continuing to rise as the national trend shows prices falling.

Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors CEO Caroline Ruhl tells WQAD News 8 that home prices in the Quad Cities were up 7.72% in 2022 and up 30% over the last five years with the trend expected to continue into 2023.

A report from Reuters says demand for homes is decreasing nationally driving down prices.

Statistics show the average sales price for a home in Iowa's Quad Cities was $250,000 in 2022, and the Illinois Quad Cities was $150,000.
