Two Teens Charged In Cedar Rapids Teen's Murder

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Two teens are charged in a Cedar Rapids homicide. Police say 15-year-old Dante Irvin and 16-year-old Tramontez Lockett are both charged with First Degree Murder in the death of 16-year-old Michael McCune. Police say McCune was shot on February 18th in the 1600 Block of F Avenue NW Cedar Rapids. Police responded to the area after multiple reports of shots fired near an apartment complex.

Police say Irvin and Lockett were arrested today (Thursday).

Conspiracy to Commit a Forcible Felony

Aiding and Abetting Theft in the First Degree

Their names are being released as juvenile confidentiality laws allow for the public release of juveniles charged with a forcible felony. Murder 1st degree is a forcible felony.
